“I love showing students that it is possible to learn in other ways. It’s like I show them a door that they can open and then choose their own path of learning. I love it when I see unsure students become self-confident, how the caterpillars become butterflies. And at Nina English, this miracle happens all the time.“
After a four-year cooperation with Nina English, Lenka has become one of my closest friends. She is a long-time university professor of English at the Masaryk University and Mendel University in Brno, where she has been leading her students in autonomy – a way of learning in which the students are completely responsible for their progress. Even at our first meeting, we both had such similar views on language learning. Come and see how we work together.
Lenka gives me energy with her unswerving enthusiasm for teaching and contributes valuable information from her research in the field of autonomous learning, which was the subject of her doctorate. Together we come up with better and better opportunities to push English further without textbooks. Oh yeah, and she teaches the most amazing cooking lessons in our advanced courses!
